On April 4, 2025, the hallowed ground of Stamford Bridge—home to Chelsea FC—will once again bear witness to a ferocious battle. But this time, the warriors won’t be clad in Viking armour or wielding battle axes. Instead, they will be laced up in gloves, ready to fight for pride, glory, and dominance inside the squared circle.
The echoes of history are impossible to ignore. In 1066, Stamford Bridge was the site of one of the most pivotal and brutal battles in English history. King Harold Godwinson’s forces crushed the invading Viking army led by King Harald Hardrada, marking the end of the Norsemen’s reign of terror on English soil. The battle was a turning point—a moment that decided the fate of nations.
Now, nearly a thousand years later, Stamford Bridge will host another war, this time in the form of Battle at the Bridge, a boxing event sanctioned by the British Boxing Board of Control. But make no mistake—just like in 1066, only the strongest will emerge victorious.
A Clash of Modern-Day Gladiators
Led by legendary promoter Dennis Hobson (Fight Academy), ‘Battle at the Bridge’ is set to deliver an unforgettable night of combat. With Jon Trethewey, Daniel Francis, and Jason Vincent working tirelessly behind the scenes to bring this spectacle to life, every detail has been meticulously crafted to create a high-stakes showdown. This isn’t just another fight night—it’s a global battlefield where warriors will collide, legacies will be forged, and only the strongest will stand victorious under the bright lights of Stamford Bridge.
Each contest is a test of will, a war of attrition where skill, strategy, and sheer heart determine the victor. The line-up features elite-level competitors, some looking to cement their legacy, others desperate to rise through the rank
