Speaking about his readiness, Pickles stated, “I’m just waiting for Saturday night now. Camp’s gone very well, we’ve had good notice for this fight, so I’m feeling good, and probably in the best shape I’ve been in.” This level of preparedness is crucial as he heads into one of the most significant fights of his career.

Final Days Before the Fight

Regarding his plan for the remaining days, Pickles mentioned, “We’ve obviously got the weigh-in on Friday, so I’ll be heading over to Sheffield for that, and just resting up until Saturday. All the main training’s done and I’m just looking forward to the weigh-in – that’s always the best bit! When you’ve cut weight and then you can go out and have something nice to eat, the portions get a little bit bigger, so everybody’s happy!”

Weigh-In and Facing the Opponent

Meeting his opponent, Keanen, at the weigh-in holds no surprises for Pickles. “I’ve met Keanen before and spoke to him at the last show, so I know how tall he is and how big he is. Obviously, he’s coming up to 10 stones so I’m expecting him to have filled out a little bit more but yeah I know him anyway,” he explained.

With a rigorous training camp behind him, Pickles exudes confidence. “I’m really raring to go for this fight and, like I’ve said, I’ve had the best camp. So yeah, I’m definitely confident.”
