Brad Axe Team UK October 5th Show: Excitement Builds for His USA Debut
As Brad Axe Team UK prepares to step into the ring on October 5th in Brownsville, Texas, for the highly anticipated USA vs UK Transatlantic Clash, fans back home and across the world are eager to see what this rising British star brings to the table. Axe, set to face Julian Delgado, gives us a glimpse of his mindset going into this pivotal fight in just his second professional bout.
What can fans expect from your fighting style?
“You can expect fireworks!” Brad says confidently. “I’m a boxer-puncher; I have a nice long range and use my jab well, but I’m also not afraid of a tear up when it’s needed.”
How are you feeling about your first professional fight abroad?
Having boxed abroad as an amateur, Brad isn’t a stranger to foreign territory, but he’s excited to make his pro debut on such a big stage. “It will be great to do it as a pro, especially alongside a quality team in the USA.”
This is only your second pro fight—how are you handling this opportunity?
“Boxers dream of being in the position I’m in,” says Brad. “I cannot wait to make my USA debut, especially so early in my career and on such a big show. I’m ecstatic!”
Does this feel like a big opportunity for your career?
“I’m a late step in, yeah, but I’m not just going over there to make up the numbers. I’m going to win and cause an upset. A win here will shoot me up the rankings and get my name out there!”
How proud would you be to win for the UK?
“I’d be very proud to bring the win back to the UK,” Brad says. “Especially when we get the team win and we all get the extra Team Bonus!”
What do you know about your opponent, Julian Delgado?
Brad is focused and prepared. “I’ve done the revision I need to; I’ve got a game plan to win. He’s a good kid and I’m not underestimating that, but I know I’ve got the beating of this kid.”
How tough do you expect this fight to be?
“I was planning on boxing a six-rounder in my second fight, but the USA Boxing Board said I couldn’t because I’ve only had one fight, so if anything it’s going to be easier than I’d prepped for. I’m ready.”
What will a win on this show mean for your career?
“As I said previously, a win will shoot me up the rankings, get my name out there, and open up other doors to more great opportunities!”
How excited are you that the show will be live-streamed on FightZone and TalkSPORT?
“It’s great that it’ll be shown on FightZone and TalkSPORT. Some of my family are able to come out and support me, but for those back home, it being shown on these channels means they can still tune in and cheer me on!”
