NICOLA HOPEWELL READY TO SHOCK THE WORLD ON JULY 19

Title glory, thrilling undercard, and a night of boxing fireworks in Sheffield!
Nichola Hopewell

Rising British star Nicola Hopewell is brimming with confidence ahead of the biggest night of her boxing career – a shot at the IBO World Flyweight Title against reigning champion Marie Connan, live from Sheffield’s Skate Central on Saturday, July 19. And the best part? Fight fans around the world can watch it LIVE and FREE on FightZone.

Speaking to FightZone in the build-up to the clash, Hopewell said:

“I’m really excited and grateful for the opportunity. I always said when I started boxing, I wanted to box for titles.”

Hopewell’s journey has been a story of grit, determination, and explosive performances. Now, she faces her sternest test yet against Connan – a skilful, high-work-rate French champion who has held her own against tough opposition.

“I’ve only seen a few of her fights,” Hopewell admits. “I was watching her against Kate Radomska not knowing I’d be fighting her next! She’s a great fighter, skilful and she brings the work rate.”

With the eyes of the boxing world on Sheffield, Hopewell is predicting a war – but one she believes she’s ready to win.

“I had a really tough fight with Emma Dolan last year and I took a lot from it. This will be a tough one too, but I believe in what we’ve done in camp – I’m ready.”

Originally set for July 14, the bout was delayed – giving Hopewell even more time to sharpen her weapons.

“The extra few weeks have only made me fitter, stronger and more determined to get my hand raised.”

While fans might be expecting a dramatic stoppage, Hopewell sees a chess match between two well-conditioned, battle-hardened athletes:

“I think the fight will go the distance, but I believe I’ll do enough to get the points win.”

Looking beyond July 19, Hopewell remains laser-focused on making this the first of many championship nights:

“Let’s get this win, then bring on more titles!”

FULL UNDERCARD – STACKED FROM TOP TO BOTTOM
